In response to the overwhelming demand for information about the Sarasota-Bradenton-Venice area, I am posting this blog to create a public forum.

There are many misconceptions about the number of foreclosures (it's diminishing here), the difficulty of obtaining a mortgage (think 1990's requirements), and the price of homes (it's going UP rapidly). Also Canadians keep asking me why there's a property tax PENALTY for foreigners (there isn't).
